Goths are a sub-culture that often get written off by 'normal' people. What a lot of people miss out on is a great depth, complexity and beauty in this strange dark world. Goths are usually seen in black clothing. The range of styles depends on their fancy: Victorian and metal are the two most typical but there are many others. Most of them wear heavy dark eyeliner and whiten their faces to mirror their obsessions with the morbid occult. Accessories include crucifixes and skull jewelry and occasionally candles. Goth culture has a strong musical side- genres include dark wave, new wave, heavy metal and certain types of electronic music. There can also be a strong BDSM element to their look. Leather, latex, costumes, whips and chains can be integrated into a Gothic persona or also for kinky sexual play. Caught your interest? You might also like: BDSM, Corsets, Leather

Alphabet soup time! B: bondage- physically or psychologically restricting movements of another. D: domination- having power or control over another. S: sadism- finding pleasure in causing pain to another. M: masochism- getting pleasure from receiving pain from another. Put it all together and what’ve you got? BDSM: a subculture shrouded in misconceptions. Your mind just probably flashed to latex catsuits and dungeons. Or CEOs being dominated by women with whips wearing unbelievably high stilettos. The BDSM world is unique in the fact it’s the leader in consent culture. Meaning it is psychologically speaking, a very healthy community. Everything done between partners is consensual and discussed beforehand whilst sober. You hear people talk a lot about ‘safe words’ and that’s where it comes from. Someone screaming ‘No! Please stop!’ can be a major turn on for some people, so when you hear ‘Reindeer!’ you know it’s time to immediately stop and check in. The intensity in BDSM relationship is based on handing over your trust to another person knowing that trust will not be broken. Everyone is equal in this world. A Bottom is in just as much control as the Top and vice versa. Pain is a natural fantasy most people have and when it’s discussed and consensual, exchanges can be incredible. But if the pain is a one-sided desire perhaps a bit of therapy is in order to discover where this want came from. For people unfamiliar with the BDSM world please don’t read or watch 50 Shades and think it’s a how-to-guide. Perhaps a how-to-NOT. If this world is interesting or exciting to you- get on some forums, check out your local kink clubs or munches and explore this often misunderstood world. Bukkake is an orgie in which several men masturbate and ejaculate, one after the other or all at the same time, onto one person in the middle. The practice apparently started in Japan where the name bukkake comes from a noodle dish with sauce poured all over it. Many men imagine Bukkake as a form of Humiliation, and many orgy-focused Porn films will end with a bukkake round. Some people find it highly arousing to make several men cum at once. It's gratifying to see how many men you can get to orgasm. So who really has the power in this situation? Sometimes the person in the middle even decide when and where guys are allowed to come. Leather has a complex history. It's known for its many roles throughout history: the taming of the Wild Wild West, its contribution to luxury furniture and automobiles and for being a mark of quality in many everyday items like handbags and jackets. Leather is the chemically treated hide of an animal, usually cows, goats, pigs or crocodiles. But leather is its own entity in the BDSM world. Perhaps best known for being fetishized in gay culture, but it's used and sometimes worshipped by practitioners of every kind of BDSM. There are whole clubs and bars dedicated to leather culture- often looking similar to biker culture from a distance. While the outfits might overlap, the concept is pretty different. Everyone likes the feel, the intense scent, and the aire of authority. They are very likely to be either gay-oriented or at least gay-inclusive. Latex is made of natural rubber and is heavily used in BDSM and erotic play. There are loads of sex shops and websites that sell latex gear, from full body suits to face masks to accessories. And of course, it is the miracle material for making most condoms. One thing you might not know is that certain kinds of lube actually destroy latex and break down its chemical structure- rendering most types of condoms ineffective. That means you'll want to check any lube or lotion that you plan to use around the genital area before or during sex and make sure it is clearly marked as "water-based." Generally, anything you buy made from latex needs a lot of care. Any clothes or toys should be washed with water-based soaps after use and then rubbed dry with talcum powder or a special silicon oil. Rubber duckie you’re the one. Has a completely different context when you say this to a rubber fetishist. Rubber has a unique feel when you touch it so imagine what it feels like to wear an entire costume made of rubber. Feeling rubber on places of your body normally untouched by most things. We mentioned clothing made of rubber: pants, corsets, lingerie. But there are other options. For those a bit more kinky, there are also rubber restraints. Instead of tying up your rubber lover with rope, you can use rubber ties or cuffs and collars. The touch of rubber goes even further with whips and crops. Spanking, using rubber toys has a different feel from traditionally wooden or rope instruments. And you can make a lot of these toys and costumes yourself from innertubes. Finally that old stash of bike tires has a use! The texture and the feel of rubber got you wanting more? Check out: Latex Fetish, PVC Fetish, Balloon Fetish

Female domination, or Femdom, is when a woman is dominant during BDSM play. This isn't necessarily related to sexual orientation, as both straight and same-sex relationships can have Tops and Bottoms. Sometimes people implement this power dynamic in their lives 24/7, but much more often, the power play is limited to the bedroom. Often the woman in charge has a strong and confident personality, but a man can also enjoy being submissive in bed precisely because he is excessively in control in daily life. Like any part of BDSM, this needs to happen on a truly consensual basis, which means that boundaries are negotiated beforehand, a safe word is chosen. Both parties obviously must have a lot of trust in each other. FemDom might not play a part in every sexual encounter between people, rather the Mistress might emerge only in some sessions. The legs tend to get attention from both genders. Both men and women have shown a greater attraction to longer legs in studies, which has spawned all kinds of fashion innovations to accentuate and elongate the legs. In previous centuries, wealthy men commonly wore shoes with raised heels. Nowadays, everything from Spanx leggings and tights to seamed stockings and sparkly pantyhose are available to accentuate the legs. Too give an illusion of longer legs there are also high heels and tall boots as go-to tools. One pernicious myth that has emerged in recent digital trends is the "thigh gap", which is the fetishization of extremely thin thighs. Despite the claims of body-shaming and pro-anorexia sites, a gap at the top of the thighs is entirely determined by the shape of the hips, and has nothing to do with diet or fitness. You knew that Spandex was excellent for firming ladies' buttocks and giving athletes cameltoe, but did you know some people get turned on by it? There's actually a whole subset of the BDSM world dedicated to spandex fetishists. These folks may have a whole bodysuit made from the smooth, stretchy material, or may like wearing just certain garments that invite caressing and stroking. In either case, the genitals are probably getting special treatment, either through a strategic hole in the body suit, or by being snugly swaddeled in this modern fabric. If Spandex rubs you the right way, read on: Bizarre, Latex Fetish, PVC Fetish

A stocking fetish might be seen as something men have- a longing desire for the long, lean, lacy legs of women. But women can get off on their silky soft leg wear as well. Soft nylon, suspender stockings, Lycra lingerie and intricate designs can all make the tight covering of the leg a sensual experience. It used to be that stockings were custom-made to order, until they began being mass-produced in the 1960s. While more convenient the art of custom stocking making has been lost. But period dress shops and high-end sex shops still sell creative designs with different themes. Men sometimes enjoy wearing these as well, and lucky for them stockings come in a variety of sizes.

On "N-Day", 1935, nylon leg coverings debuted into shops. They cost an exorbitant $250 (and during the Great Depression!), but still sold a historic 4,000 pairs the first day. Those that couldn't afford the coveted look took to staining their legs with coffee grounds and drawing that sexy back seam on with brown eyeliner. In 1941, nylon was still outrageously expensive, but it had been recognized by the military as a highly tear-resistant material. After an unprecedented fundraising campaign in which thousands of women sacrificed their beloved stockings. The material collected was very useful in Pearl Harbor. In 1955, technology for the production of stretchy pantyhose was developed, rendering the erotic back seam unnecessary. Since 1965, tights have been a popular choice for the mass markets. They fit well and are also sensuous, but are far more wearable than their sheer nylon sisters. In the world of sex shops and kink gear, however, you will find all of the most artistic versions. Including waterproof versions for those who like watersports. More on the lusciousness of our legs here: Women's Lingerie, Sock Fetish, Footwear

Some people would happily lick away all day at sweaty, smelly feet, while others find the idea of even kissing a clean foot revolting. Many fetishists find it highly erotic to look at fettered feet, to tickle or to suck them. Others like to 'abuse' them. For every part of the foot, be it callouses, smells or any other imaginable thing, there are fetishists. Some enjoy the entire foot, while others focus on the toes, balls, color, texture, size or shape. Playing footsie is a well known way to hide physical contact between people in order to flirt so no one else can see. For example under the table at a restaurant, or in hot tubs. This discrete act can lead to some saucy adventures later on. When your feet stray upwards to your partner's genitals, it’s called a footjob. Looking for more kinks and fetishes? Bondage means all kinds of sexual games that are played with ropes, cuffs or other types of restraints. Your partner’s freedom of movement is restricted either at the hands or feet, or both. In BDSM play, bondage might be integrated into role-play scenarios. One variation is to tie restraints or even clips or weights to your partner’s genitals. This is to provide sensations, but often times the appeal is aesthetic, too. BDSM, after all, involves not only enjoying giving and receiving harsh treatment, but also of seeing one’s handiwork as one takes control. Bondage can also be psychological too. Demanding that your partner doesn’t move their hands or open their eyes can also be a massive turn on. Get creative! A diaper fetish, also known as diaper play or baby play, is a fetish wherein one partner not only dresses in diapers, but usually also behaves and is treated like a baby. There is another group of fetishists who are simply into wearing diapers and get off by that alone. But most of the time this is a role-play fetish. In the typical role play the "mother" will powder, cream and change the "baby", swaddle and hold them, even deal with their excrement (which may be a fetish for some people in and of itself). Diaper play specifically addresses the need that we all have to be protected, given affection, and taken care of even when we feel helpless. This doesn't necessarily have to take a sexual form, but it can be a release by creating a safe and happy experience. More creative roleplay ideas here: Bizarre, Role Play, Sex Toys

The amount of pain depends on the quality of the candles and the height the wax is dropped from. The sensation could be a nice lukewarm, or a searing hot. Smaller candles and wax falling from higher up tend to be less hot. The wax pools a bit, and is then spilled with care onto the willing victim. Sex shops often sell candles that have a lower melting point for less risk of burning. The idea is to get a nice redness with a little puff in the skin, but not to injure anyone. As wax pools and cools, a layer will be formed over the skin. A whip or a switch might be just perfect to snap that apart. For any bears among us, though, it might be wise to put a layer of plastic between your body hair and that wax, unless you are into a really, really, really painful finish! Watersports is an umbrella term for all sexual things involving urine. A golden shower pours like a shower over the body or maybe only certain parts - like the face, chest, ass, cock or pussy. Other pee fetishists love to be filled with urine during or after sex, sometimes with a piss enema. Whether you've just pissed yourself or it's a stranger in a public restroom, these can all be turns on for the right person. You never know what will get you off until you try it. Maybe this sounds a bit strange to you, or maybe you can't wait to jerk off after reading this. Keep an open mind about all fetishes, you might just discover that you love it! Spanking is the most widely used form of sexual punishment. It's a form of BDSM, although it is practiced by a lot of people who don’t know anything about the BDSM world. The delight comes from slapping or hitting the ass, breasts, nipples or genitals of the submissive partner, either with the hand or with instruments ranging from whips and paddles to belts or kitchen utensils. The thing about sexy spanking is, it’s not meant to hurt or terrify anyone! Which means you need to know what you’re doing before you start spanking away carelessly. If using rods, whips or canes, you should first learn correct techniques so that you don’t cause deep bruising, break the skin, or create lasting nerve damage. There are some areas of the body that shouldn’t be hit, and there are techniques for spanking that give the most bang with the least break. Scat, or Coprophilia is gaining sexual gratification from playing with shit. It has many names, but scat, caviar, and chocolate are among the most commonly used. Health Risks Most people into caviar get off on watching someone take a dump, but another common fix is suppressing bowel movements. Control is sexy and there are many different forms of control. Sometimes caviar makes the jump into playing with it- using it as lubrication for gentle massaging or evolving into consuming it, also known as coprophagia. If certain considerations are not taken, this can be a major physical risk. Human excrement is loaded with bacteria and other things you don't want to be eating again. So do your research before taking a bite out that 'chocolate'. Looking for more hot stuff to do with your ass? Read on: Ass Play, Odors, Butts, Diaper Fetish

It might seem like people are coming up with new fetishes all the time, but it's probably more likely that the internet has made it easier for them to be brought to our finger tips. Smoking fetishism has surely been around at least for decades, but you might just be hearing about it now. This is sexual pleasure connected to the smoking of cigars, cigarettes, pipes or shishas. For some people, just watching someone consume tobacco turns them on, and smoking during intercourse really lights their fire. Smoking, after all, has always stood for being daring and rebellious, and maybe more today than ever, is seen as "dirty". So it seems almost natural that it would be a welcome sight when people are doing the nasty. Want to see what else can light your fire?
