The dildo is pretty much the oldest sex toy in the world. Design is usually based on the phallus, but they come in an endless variety of shapes, sizes, colors and materials. Dildos are used by all genders and sexual orientations. The first “modern” dildos came onto the market in the 1940s. They were made of rubber and had a metal spring inside in order to give it strength. Later on PVC was used because of its softer quality. Excavations of a site in Ulm, Germany dating back to 30,000 years old have found phallus-shaped artifacts ranging in size of around 20cm. Further evidence is suggested from a figure on a vase holding a dildo, dating back to 490 BC. Dildos have become more socially acceptable as their popularity grows. Except in Alabama in the USA, where they are strictly prohibited! More on getting publicly freaky here: Sex Toys, Anal Toys, Masturbation Text by Nordseebär

Pretty obvious really- SEX toys that go in your butt. Your behind, specifically your asshole is brimming with nerve endings which connect to other delightful places in your body. And hello, they’re not just for gay guys. EVERYONE can enjoy anal toys, as a couple or alone for masturbating. So relax and open up. In men, a lot of these nerves go to muscles in their pelvic floor or urethra, making orgasm possible with a little help from your (lubricant based) friends. For women, of course, it’s the alphabet soup of spots. This one is the A-spot- short for anterior fornix which is located on the ventral groove of the cervix. The A-spot just happens to be easier to reach with a bit of back door action. Examples of anal toys are butt plugs, dildos and anal beads. Each one is designed with special intentions and can also be warm ups for anal sex. Important tip for anal sex: keep that shit clean. That means: toys are clean (if used with multiple partners use condoms), assholes are clean (learn about enemas) and fingers are clean, nails are cut SHORT. Rubber dolls are life-sized replicas of men and women. The usually have penetrable openings for the purposes of masturbation. They’ve been around for over 100 years and can cost between 10€ and thousands for luxury dolls. These luxury models are usually made with firm bodies and realistic skin material. Often used as party gags at bachelor parties, they are also used for masturbation or in the BDSM world for humiliation practices. Pygmalionism is the fetish where people center their focus on rubber dolls. Rubber dolls are also in the movies and in music: Franz Morak: Abwaschbar, Roxy Music: Every Dream Home A Heartache, The Police: Sally, Frank Zappa: Ms. Pinky und Little Rubber Girl, Sodom: Stumme Ursel, ACDC use a rubber doll as decoration in "Whole Lotta Rosie". Blindfold sex is a classic intimate adventure because one partner doesn’t know what the other will do next. This increases intimacy and excitement, but also increases the intensity of sensations, since removing one sense heightens the others. A great amount of trust and intimacy is required for this kind of play to be enjoyable. The blindfolded partner has to enjoy fully submitting to the other’s will, within the limits they have agreed on. It’s not always the case that the blindfolded partner is passive, they might actually be exploring their partner’s body from their new perspective. A popular choice is to include food and drink in the adventure, so that these can be licked, sucked or nibbled off of the body. Looking for other ways to get creative with props? Handcuffs can add some heat to your night. Of course, if the uniformed person applying them is an actual cop, your night might be cooling down rather than heating up. In terms of play, there are few things that get the blood pumping more than submitting to someone with your hands locked behind your back or chained to a bedpost. Handcuffs are often used in BDSM as a form of bondage. As with all forms of BDSM, they should be used with care. Improper use or careless movements can cause serious injury to the person in cuffs. There are some styles that have emergency releases and more comfortable shapes and are better for beginners. IIt's also important to discuss and agree on issues of consent and safe words BEFORE play starts. Because having the real cops show up on the scene is the worst kind of cold shower. An aphrodisiac is used to stimulate and increase sex drive, pleasure and libido. From the Middle Ages to Now Lots of people know the novel turned film “Perfume”. It tells the story of Jean-Baptise Grenouille. The man who created an irresistible aphrodisiac perfume. It was so strong that the women and men he poured it on tore out into full on sex hunters in lusty orgies. The right dosage of course is the trick. But too much of a good thing can’t be all bad. In the Middle Ages scents weren’t the only aphrodisiacs. Also thought to be aphrodisiacs were various herbs and spices like nutmeg and parsley. Kale was also considered to be one. Some aphrodisiac properties are disputed. There isn’t a lot of clear evidence that they work. Some people say that ginger, chilli, oyster, ginseng, saffron and chocolate are aphrodisiacs. We’ll never know for sure, but Casanova slurped down 50 oysters a day. Don’t Expect Any Miracles Aphrodisiacs are not miracle cures. If they increase desire even just a small amount, then they’ve done their job. Viagra & Co are in a league of their own Drugs and other medications meant to treat erectile dysfunction, for example. Viagra, Levitra, Tadalafil, Apomorphin, Alprostadil are not aphrodisiacs. These drugs are used to treat disorders.
