Phone sex originated in an age when phones were stationary and had cords attached to them, you know, totally pre-historic! Part of the appeal of phone sex then, was that there was no visual component. The caller enjoyed the tones of the voice, the personality of the person on the other end, and the fantasies sparked by the dirty talk hat was exchanged. Phone sex has occurred between partners who were separated by distance, but it has also been a business for decades. Numbers with special per-minute rates were set up, staffed by women of all types, and callers were pleasured for money. What's interesting is that while phone sex between partners is sex, it also plays a part in their relationship, and can be a tool for maintaining or even increasing intimacy.

Cybersex is the swapping of digital fluids- sexy thoughts and feelings using a chat messenger or webcams. Sometimes people have "cam to cam" sex, or get themselves off at the same time while chatting to bring a real side to the fantasy of chat. Cybersex has existed since the 90s, when hanging out in chat rooms became the 'in thing' to do. At first people were swapping images and messages via email, but that was painfully slow compared to what became possible with instant messenger. Not only were flirting and sex, instant and in full color, but also anonymous and felt like they were happening in a different world. There are mad scientists out there trying to develop virtual reality tools in the form of helmets, gloves and even suits especially made for cybersex. There are already vibrators you can plug into your USB, so really anything is possible!

When you're chatting, whether with a familiar partner or with a new online acquaintance, exchanging pics inevitably comes up. There are a lot of variables here: privacy, seduction, how one portrays oneself, and what one expects in return. As a general rule, an unsolicited dick pic has almost zero chance of producing any result. On the other hand pictures that help you get to know your partner, to tease, tantalize and build suspense or help relieve encounters, are all powerful tools in the seduction game. Some sites allow you to show a photo while keeping it saved privately, but screenshots are possible on any device. It's best to be creative yet careful with your photos, knowing that once they're out there, they're out there forever. Be coy and clever, and delete photos from people you don't communicate with anymore. It's the right and sexy thing to do! Erotic art is as old as time. Nudes, most often done with paint, pencil, and more recently photography, are common forms of portraying and encouraging our seductive ways. Great historical examples are the murals of fertility rites, that can be found in the French caves of Lascaux. Also in Pompeii where the ancient Romans covered brothel doors and even sidewalks with erotic decorations. Of course, we can hardly be shocked by these naughty depictions, since porn, Hentai and nude photography are so common nowadays. Perhaps some of the subtleties have been lost in favor of extreme close-ups and money shots. All the same, we have a world of traditions at our finger tips; we have plenty to appreciate.

Sex in a hospital is one of the most common fantasies for both men and women. Whether it involves pretty nurses or dreamy doctors, or a patient topping the doctor or a doctor is having their way with a patient. There is really no end to the kinds of fantasies that take place in hospitals and clinics. Who knows, maybe we just go into these quiet, rigid, sterile places and have an animal urge to make them messy and wild. Maybe it's the desire to be cared for or play with power dynamics. Of course, actually having sex with your doctor or nurse would constitute as malpractice and be a very ugly legal mess. But that doesn't stop your partner from sneaking in some uniforms on the sly and visiting you in your private room! More on this kink here: Bizarre, Rubber, Role Play, Uniforms

Porn has been around probably as long as humankind. Before there was streaming video, there were erotic cave paintings, and all the clever media in between. Over time, who is pictured and what they are doing has evolved, and varied between cultures, but the gist has been the same. Porn displays sex acts in order to arouse the viewer. Because of the bias of the industry toward male viewers, most of what is shown is usually the female body and the male genitals. The focus is usually on the sexual acts themselves, and less so on the surrounding scenario or the relationship between the individuals. Pornos can depict any kind of sex, from gentle vanilla sex to really aggressive or fetishized sex. If what you see is really explicit, it’s usually referred to as “hardcore,” whereas “softcore” is something closer to what you might see at the movie theater. Want more sexy inspiration? Hentai, anime and manga are all forms of animated storytelling that come from Japan, but they aren't the same. Manga and Anime are story styles with distinct characters, animation styles, and story themes. Hentai draws on some of these styles, but for pornographic purposes. Hentai is animated and the characters are drawn with great XXXageration. Female characters are often extremely thin with enormous eyes, while male characters usually have massive cocks and outrageous muscles. Because it's fantasy, monsters also get to have their fun. When a monster have sex with a woman, it usually breaks all physical and known boundaries of human sex. Bear in mind that hentai is fantasy, and often in hentai lines are crossed that would never be acceptable, legal or even physically possible in real life. Many scenes include rape and violence, and it's an important reminder to recognize your limits and acknowledge those of others.

Often confused with porn, erotic photography is a bit more artful. In general it’s done in a studio with a professional photographer. A lot of thought and preparation goes into these photo shoots. Though they are sexual in nature, they are not intended to arouse the viewer in the way that porn would. With the rise of the digital age and the (nude) selfie phenomenon, erotic photography is in danger of being lumped in with the wrong category. This is something you could hang in your office. They are generally black and white photography with creative lighting and classy nudes- in slightly suggestive positions. Erotic photography celebrates the beauty of the body and its sexual capacity. An important tip for making your own erotic photography: consent. Consider that maybe it was okay at the time, perhaps even to share these photos online, but that can change. These wishes should be respected if it they come from your ex.
